Our Athletic Performance Programs are designed to enhance every aspect of an athlete’s physical performance. From sport specific strength and speed training to movement preparation and recovery strategies, we cover all aspects of athletic training.  There is a training group for all ages and ability levels for young men and women.

Strength Training –

Power and explosiveness can only be built from a foundation of strength.  We focus on training the muscles and nervous system to enhance sport specific strength and power, multi-directional and linear speed, acceleration and deceleration, all while providing you the proper progression of drills based on your sport and level of training.

Strength training for athletes has long been built around the principle of: more muscle = improved performance. We are training athletes, not bodybuilders. While having the “body armor” to sustain the physical demands and contact of the sport will always remain important, our strength training focus is to improve the athlete’s performance on the field/court first and foremost. 

 

Speed Training –

Building all phases of speed through proper progression drills that consist of running mechanics and technique is critical to closing on or pulling away from your opponent.  We incorporate resisted running drills, free running for acceleration and maximal speed, and over-speed drills that focus on neural impulse speed and physiological adaptations.  Develop your on-field quickness and agility by challenging your nervous system to enhance change of direction ability, but also reaction time and sensory input processing to shorten the window from “seeing the play” to “making the play.”

 

Injury Prevention –

As the saying goes, “The best ability is availability.” Our program puts extra focus on improving the range of motion of your joints and surrounding muscles in order to keep the athlete on the field and performing at their best.  Everything from the movement preparation at the beginning of sessions to the cool down at the end of the workouts is selected with the specific intent of preparing the body for the stresses of training and competition and building resiliency to those stressors.
